About White Lotus
I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.
– C.G. Jung
As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Rebecca Lawrence loves working with people. Her belief in the resilience of the human spirit and a passion for inspiring and supporting others to heal, grow, and gain greater personal fulfillment are the elements guiding White Lotus Counseling.
To meet the individual needs and goals of each person, a variety of treatment modalities are integrated that support and motivate them to utilize their inner strengths and resources to bring about changes in their present ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving, thereby revealing new possibilities for an enhanced future.
Establishing a relationship characterized by mutual respect and trust with clients is of the utmost importance to White Lotus, as it enables people to experience the safety necessary to grow, develop, and change in positive ways.
The choice to begin therapy is an act of hope, courage, and strength. I would be honored by the opportunity to be a part of your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! I am accepting new clients into my practice at this time.
Typically, I can see new clients within 1 week.
Prior to our appointment, I will email you the necessary paperwork. When you arrive to my office, please help yourself to some tea or soda in the waiting area. I will come out to get you at your scheduled appointment time. Our first session will be an opportunity for you to get to know me better as a counselor and for you to talk more about what is bringing you to counseling.
Each session is 50 minutes long. I do offer longer sessions if needed. Please contact me about this option.
Ideally, I meet with clients weekly. Sometimes clients will want to meet more frequently for more intensive work. Sessions can be also be on a bi-weekly basis if there are financial constraints.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, seeing children, adolescents, and adults.
I accept cash, check, and credit card.
I am an out of network provider. I am happy to provide a super bill to my clients so they can submit the paperwork to their insurance for reimbursement. I find that insurance companies can dictate the length of treatment and the types of treatment. They often require a diagnosis for payment, which is not always appropriate for my clients. The fact that I do not take insurance directly increases your privacy and gives you more of a choice in your counseling process.
That is ok! I offer a consultation prior to an appointment so you can see if I am the right fit for you.
Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It’s a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.
